This post to make understand what is Meditation?

Various books on Meditation teach some technique and meaning. Some says Meditation mean concentration on some chant or mantra, some says Breath Awareness and Some says Let it flow. Concentration on other topic or chant or musics some times helpful to divert mind from other worring thing and useful for short time relax. Breath Awareness also do same thing. Some times in bad situations contemplate on situations without attaching but understanding can help to detached from it.
Correct meaning of Meditation is to detach from situations but efforts a peaceful/calm mind. Its only possible when you make understanding with mind so, Mind detach from future, past and situations. For that we need to contemplate on situations and make calm as much as possible. Reprogram mind with contemplate on situations, pain and most important acceptance. Try to live in present and try to let go, let it flow and accept whatever we have. Only peaceful calm mind can see truth and stay at ease. Anger/Ego is biggest enemy of peace. We need to reprogram mind with saying self “leave ego/anger and let it flow”. If there is trouble in peace chant any mantra or name and ask help from mystic law. Read good scriptures which teach detachment like We own nothing. (Dhampada, Tao Te Ching, Bhagwad Gita,etc or any good book). By making these all habbit we can escape from suffering in situations of pain, anger, greed and ego etc. and get peaceful/calm mind.
